ring chasing at this point. He provides some depth, but id be shocked at this point if he could be trusted to produce for 12+ games

Go get that ring. Past his prime and more of a role player who can provide in spurts.

Patriots did something similar to this when signing Randy Moss after 3 subpar years and many thought his best years were behind him. But that was a younger Brady and it paid off for the Patriots. Can’t see see it happening here but smart move by Julio to get $6M guaranteed to play a year with the GOAT. And the possibility of another $2M and SB ring. Still probably a bad financial move by the Bucs in the end.

He’s 33 going on 34 years of age come February. Standing at 6’3” he can probably still produce efficiently once he gets gets on the same page and rhythm as Brady but that will be the question; can he?

It's amazing how fast some players can become washed up.

They are still ripped. They still look real fast, they look the same as when younger.

But if they lose just a half of step and some dexterity. They can go from a HOF'er to a scrub in no time.

Calvin Johnson probably made a great move retiring when he did.

Experience and the ability to scheme. Can he juke where Brady needs him to be? He’s going to have to get out of his comfort zone and resort being efficient when needed. Big catches will come in big games. I think he’ll be fine second half of season when he and Brady begin clicking.

Oldest TD combination in NFL history?

Vinny Testaverde (USA, b. 13 November 1963), playing for the New England Patriots, threw to team mate, Troy Brown (USA, b. 2 July 1971) on 31 December 2006 against the Tennessee Titans, making them the oldest combined ages for players connecting on an NFL touchdown pass with 78 years, 230 days.

(Not this year)

His TD numbers haven't been great the last 5 seasons, will be interesting to see if he can produce at all this year.

The great ones figure out a way to stay productive even if they aren't as fast as before

Larry Fitzgerald and Jerry Rice come to mind. Both used their skills later in career
